Mr. Cubby was a police captain with the Jersey City Police Departmentfor 38 years before he retired. He is trained as a domestic violence instructor for the police department. He was also trained by the prosecutor’s office in elder abuse and was the department’s contact person.
He is a contributor to the Grieving Behind the Badge newsletter and manager of the PTSD websites Surviving the Shield and Code Blue. He’s the Administrator of the Police Website JCPD West.

He co-created the Boys and Men’s Well-Being Index as a project of the Global Initiative for Boys and Men (GIBM), the first such website with data focused on male well-being.
