Male-supportive organizations are critical for the well-being of boys and men. We therefore share some basic information on organizations that offer assistance, information, and support in a variety of areas. Click on the title of an organization to view its website.

Male Mental Health
Helps men understand and overcome depression, and reduce the rate of male suicide. They provide support groups, one-on-one peer support, outreach events, public education, and training for mental health professionals.
The California Health and Human Services Agency (CalHHS) provides resources for youth on mental health, specifically in California. They provide different support lines for a variety of issues. There are also articles for both youth and parents to know the signs and how to help when it comes to stress, depression, anxiety, and more.
Helping transform the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders by giving them the help they need. Providing gold-standard evidence-based care, delivering educational resources to families, training educators, and developing treatments.
Their goal is to reshape the conversation around men and mental health by using humor to cut through stigma and tackle issues such as depression, divorce, and suicidal thoughts head on, the way a man would do it
Their mission is to help men who have had unwanted or abusive sexual experiences live healthier, happier lives. Provides information and support resources on the web and in the community
Men’s Health Network (MHN) is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to reach men and their families where they live, work, play, and pray with health prevention messages and tools, screening programs, educational materials, advocacy opportunities, and patient navigation.
The Movember Foundation is one of the premiere male-supportive nonprofits in the world. Their mission is to support men’s mental health and suicide prevention, and support research to prevent and treat prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
Male Advocacy
Global Initiative for Boys and Men (GIBM)
The Global Initiative for Boys and Men (GIBM) supports boys, men, and families through research and advocacy. Their staff works closely with leading researchers, community groups, public and private institutions, and policy makers to support boys and men and the women who love them. Motivated by leading research over the past 30 years, GIBM provides the essential research and data to inform policy makers, educators, parents, media, and government at all levels to collectively improve the outcomes for boys and men. They also created the Boys and Men’s Well-Being Index (BAM Index), a free online data repository on the well-being of boys and men.
National Coalition For Men (NCFM)
Operating since 1977, the National Coalition For Men (NCFM) is a nonprofit educational organization that raises awareness about the ways sex discrimination affects men and boys.
Families Advocating for Campus Equality
Families Advocating for Campus Equality (FACE) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that was founded in 2013 by three mothers of sons who had been falsely accused of sexual misconduct at their respective colleges. Largely organized and run by women (even though the victims of the injustice they are campaigning against are mostly men), FACE has built a formidable legal case and established itself as a serious political presence in the US.
Kansas Family Preservation Coalition
The Kansas Family Preservation Coalition was first formed in 2018 following the Kansas Legislative session. There were several groups within the Kansas working very actively on “equal parenting legislation”, each with their own perspectives, and experiences with the family court system and process. This Coalition was formed as a way to unify those efforts within Kansas and communicate those efforts to the state Legislators.
Male Victims of Domestic Violence
SAVE – Stop Abusive and Violent Environments
SAVE is a non-profit victim-advocacy organization working for evidence-based solutions to domestic violence. We work to support all victims of intimate partner violence.
RADAR – Respecting Accuracy In Domestic Abuse Reporting
R.A.D.A.R. – Respecting Accuracy in Domestic Abuse Reporting – is a non-profit, non-partisan organization of men and women working to improve the effectiveness of our nation’s approach to solving domestic violence.
Established in 2022, The Bettered Men Foundation aims to address the ongoing needs of domestic violence survivors. Our vision is to build a well-known, community based support network, provide educational resources, and continue to address the ongoing needs of survivors, regardless of whether they’re male or female.
Domestic Abuse and Violence International Alliance
The Domestic Abuse and Violence International Alliance is non-profit human rights organization working to protect the family. DAVIA’s organizational members subscribe to the principles of domestic violence and abuse policies that are family-affirming, science-based, and sex-inclusive.
Fatherhood
Committed to bringing intentional focus to fathers around the world. Helps embrace who you are, give tenderness of heart, and boldness of character as a dad and husband. They provide guidance and practical tips in raising your kids in a life giving way.
Started as a small social media group, now a non-profit, helps provide black men with an opportunity to tell their own stories of fatherhood as well as seek advice and encouragement from others. It is a black-led organization that is committed to being a multi-faceted resource to black men and their families.
Center for Family Policy & Practice
Carries a focus on family and fatherhood policy. The goals of this organization is to change the dialogue about family economic security to include the perspective of both parents who may or may not live with their children, to attach children’s wellbeing to both their parents’ security and success, and lastly to articulate the need for a family policy that supports racial equity and safety from violence and abuse.
Focuses on creating a world where fathers invest in their families and communities and to empower fathers to be agents for positive change. The organization carries panels, support groups, and daily work that focuses on changing the narratives of fatherhood.
The mission of this organization is to improve the health and well-being of children and families by empowering fathers to be knowledgeable, active, and emotionally engaged with their children.
This organization works to change the current societal and cultural definition of family to be inclusive of fathers. Their focus is working with organizations around the country to identify and advocate for social and legislative changes that lead to healthy father involvement with children, regardless of the father’s marital or economic status, or geographic location. They focus on issues pertaining to co-parenting, employment, incarceration, domestic violence, child support, financial stability, fatherhood engagement, early childhood development.
Their mission is to inspire men to be better dads with tips, articles, news, videos and interviews that educate and inform. It is a resource for fathers by fathers and about fathers and the rewards of fatherhood. The purpose of the website is to encourage men to become better fathers through the exchange of ideas.
Focuses on fatherlessness as one of the most important issues in the country. Their goal is to increase fatherly involvement in their kids’ schools.
Supports fathers as they navigate the complex child custody and/or child support process in family court.
Dad’s Divorce was founded by Joseph E. Cordell for the purpose of informing fathers about their rights during divorce litigation, while providing them with concrete, practical resources to achieve the best results in the courtroom. Over the years, DadsDivorce has grown into a popular meeting place for fathers facing divorce and subsequent litigation. Every month, tens of thousands of visitors browse our site to research our expanding content and to get advice from those who have fought for their rights, as well as those in the midst of their cases.
Wisconsin Fathers for Children and Families
A group of men and women working to assure every child has the fullest opportunity to experience the love and nurturance of both their father and mother. A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that educates the public, courts, and legislators about the important role fathers play in the raising of children.
Fathers and Families Center (Indianapolis)
Fathers and Families Center is a one-stop shop to help fathers and expectant fathers develop the skills they need to be engaged and involved dads, providers, and citizens. This includes helping our participants get their High School Equivalency diploma; getting them job ready and preparing them for advanced trainings and careers providing employment training; and offering referral services.
Boys Development
The nation’s foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training. BSA programs are divided by age and activity and aimed to teach children critical core values at each stage of life.
Their mission is to create and support one-on-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Their goal is to help all youth achieve their full potential. JED provides teens and young adults with the skills and support they need to grow into healthy, thriving adults. Their organization is designed to target all areas – school, work, home life, relationships, and overall well-being – to help change and save lives and helping young people thrive.
A school-based group counseling program that guides young men to learn, internalize and practice social cognitive skills, make responsible decisions for their school and community.
Provides an array of life-changing youth care and health care services that meet each child and family exactly where they are so they get the right kind of care, at the right time, in the right way.
Their mission is to promote the best practices in engaging and teaching boys through research, professional development, and programming.
The Boys Initiative
The mission of The Boys Initiative is to inform the public and recruit advocates who will actively help us implement solutions to the issues and trends affecting the well-being and success of boys and young men in our nation and around the world.
- We champion efforts to close the gender achievement gap in education where most boys perform below girls in every subject.
- We support and train parents and educators who desire to meet the mental, emotional, academic, and developmental needs of boys and young men.
- We encourage and equip community leaders who want to become vocal advocates and actively lobby legislators and local officials to enact policies that will equally benefit boys as well as girls.

The San Diego men’s rights lawyers at the Men’s Legal Center are all committed to pursuing every family law case or issue that arises with the perspective that involves working tirelessly to achieve a fair, equitable and positive result regardless of the general notions or assumptions that may exist.
