The Men’s E-News Project Management intern will be trained to communicate properly within a non-profit organization setting. They will be responsible for helping interns set goals and organize tactical plans to help interns achieve and surpass goals. They will be responsible for completing all project goals.

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

 • Knowledge and ability to write comprehensible emails
 • Phone etiquette
 • Basic understanding of email (Outlook)
 • Currently enrolled at any college or university (or graduated), with at least one management or business class fulfilled
 • Strong organizational skills

 • Ability to adjust and comprehend constructive criticism

If you’re interested in working in the media, doing an internship while you’re in college is an absolute must.  You can most likely get academic credits for it, but most importantly, you will gain valuable hands-on-experience that will impress prospective employers and give you an advantage over other applicants when entering the job market.

DESCRIPTION

As a small non-profit we are looking for an intern interested in learning all aspects of the public relations field. The intern who fills this position should expect to learn the field from top to bottom, and will complete this program ready to enter any fast-paced public relations firm with excellent skills.  It’s essential that applicants to this position have excellent communication skills, demonstrate creativity, and understand the importance of attending to even the smallest details

We are looking for an intern to assist with our social media marketing efforts. You will learn the ins and outs of our organization and how to make social media a productive part of our overall marketing efforts for a non-profit organization.

 • Knowledge of digital media software — Photoshop or other graphic design software, etc. is preferred

 • Writing and posting blog posts/tweets/updates, etc.
 • Tracking the growth and the impact of social media on our business

 • Minor video editing skills are a plus

 • Serving as the information hub, communicator and daily monitor for online activities within Men’s E-News.

Web Development

 • Strong proficiency in Windows and/or Mac operating system. Linux a plus.

 • Experience with HTML, CSS and the ability to code without the use of a WYSYWIG program.
 • Familiarity with Adobe Dreamweaver or equivalent programs.
