The Domestic Abuse Helpline for Men and Women (DAHMW) Is Seeking Helpline Advocates

The Domestic Abuse Helpline for Men and Women (DAHMW), a national non-profit agency that offers supportive services to victims of intimate partner violence (with a special focus on under served male victims), is seeking Helpline Advocates to cover shifts in the daytime, on weekends and overnight.

If you’re a good listener and enjoy assisting people in need, this volunteer position is for you!  We offer a self paced online advocates training plus personal, individualized telephonic back-up support so that our volunteers have the tools they need to feel comfortable and confident in their work. Upon finishing our training you can volunteer right from the privacy of your own home, all you need is telephone with a national calling plan and a computer with Internet capability.

Please note:  Helpline Advocates are asked to make a one-year commitment to volunteer with our agency.
