“…During the 1980s and 1990s, Mr. Levy testified more than 20 times before congressional committees on issues such as child support and visitation rights for non-custodial parents and the needs of children of divorce.
Some women’s rights advocates said he was in effect a champion of fathers’ rights in divorce proceedings. In 1991, Mr. Levy told Post columnist William Raspberry, “If there is divorce we need to make certain that both parents are in the picture. We talk about absent fathers when what we have in reality is forced-away fathers.”…”
